Every piece is taken back to the frame before it moves forward.

Most upholstery shops staple new fabric over old problems. We don't. Cushions come off, the old cover comes away, and the frame gets inspected before anything else happens — because a beautiful fabric over a broken frame is a waste of your money.

Our professional upholsterers work from the frame up: joints reglued and doweled, springs retied, webbing replaced, foam cut to the exact profile of your piece. It is slower than the alternative. It is also why the work lasts.

You will know the cost and the timeline before we touch your furniture. If something changes once we open the piece up, we call you first — always.

Consultation & quote

Call, text or email photos of your piece. We will give you a realistic range straight away, then confirm an exact price once we have seen it in person. Estimates are always free.

Fabric selection

Choose from our books — Charlotte Fabrics, Barrow Industries and Greenhouse Fabrics — or bring your own material. We will tell you honestly how it will wear and exactly how much yardage you need.

Frame-up rebuild

Old material off, frame inspected and repaired, springs retied, webbing replaced, new foam cut to profile, then the cover fitted and finished by hand. This is where the time goes, and it should.

Delivery

We bring it back and place it where it belongs. Pickup and delivery are free within our Bay Area service area, so your only job is deciding where the piece goes.

Why buy new when the good frame is already yours?

Furniture built twenty, forty or eighty years ago was made from kiln-dried hardwood with doweled and corner-blocked joints. Most furniture sold today is stapled engineered board. If your old piece feels solid when you lift it, that is not nostalgia — that is a frame worth keeping.

It depends on the size of the piece, the condition of the frame and springs, and the fabric you choose. A dining chair is a modest job; a large sectional with hand-tied springs is a bigger one. We quote every piece individually, and the estimate is always free with no obligation.
Most residential pieces take two to three weeks from the day the fabric arrives. Dining chairs and simple cushion work are often faster. Full frame rebuilds or pieces needing custom-milled parts take longer — and we tell you the realistic timeline before any work begins.
Yes — pickup and delivery are free within our Bay Area service area, covering San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Los Gatos, Cupertino, Milpitas and the surrounding communities. Let us know when you call and we will arrange a time that works for you.
Absolutely. Many customers bring their own material and we are glad to work with it. We will tell you honestly how much yardage you need and whether the fabric suits the piece. We also carry a large selection from Charlotte Fabrics, Barrow Industries and Greenhouse Fabrics if you would rather choose from our books.
Usually, yes. Older furniture was built with hardwood frames and joinery that outlasts most new production furniture. If the frame is sound, reupholstering costs a fraction of buying comparable quality new — and you keep the piece and the proportions you already like.
Yes. We regularly handle work for medical offices, restaurants, cafes, bars and schools — including booth seating, waiting-room chairs and bar stools. We can work with contract-grade and high-durability fabrics that meet commercial requirements.
Yes. We often replace sagging foam, retie springs, repair loose arms and fix broken webbing while keeping your existing fabric, provided the fabric is still in good condition. It is a common and much less expensive fix for a piece that just feels tired.
