Bay Area sun is harder on fabric than people expect.

Patio and deck cushions fail in a specific order: the colour goes, then the thread, then the foam turns to porridge because it never fully dried out.

We use solution-dyed acrylic where the colour runs through the fibre rather than sitting on top of it, UV-stabilised thread that does not powder away at the seams, and quick-dry reticulated foam that drains instead of holding water. It costs more up front and it lasts several times as long.

Automotive

Seat covers and foam, sagging headliners, door panels, armrests and consoles. Leather, vinyl and cloth — including classic and vintage interiors where the original pattern has to be copied.

RV & motorhome

Dinette benches and cushions, jackknife sofas, captain’s chairs, bunk mattresses and window valances — sized for the awkward dimensions RV interiors actually use.

Boat & marine

Cockpit and bow cushions, helm and jump seats, sun pads, backrests and interior berth cushions. Marine vinyl, mildew-resistant backing and drainage-friendly foam throughout.

Do you do full car interiors?

We do seats, headliners, door panels, consoles and carpet-edge work. For a full concours restoration we are happy to talk it through first and tell you honestly whether we are the right shop for that particular car.

What material do you use on boats?

Marine-grade vinyl with UV-resistant thread and quick-dry foam. Standard polyester thread rots in sun and salt within a couple of seasons, which is why marine work fails at the seams first.

Can you match my RV’s existing upholstery?

Often yes. RV interiors use a limited palette of vinyls and weaves, and we can usually get close enough that a replaced dinette does not look out of place against the rest.

How long do outdoor cushions last?

With solution-dyed acrylic and quick-dry foam, five to seven years of Bay Area sun is realistic. Cheaper printed fabrics fade in two. We will tell you which you are buying.

Do you replace boat cushion foam?

Yes, and for anything that gets wet we use closed-cell or reticulated quick-dry foam so it drains instead of holding water and going sour.
